A filmmaker’s look at the creative collaboration between Chinese poet Huang Xiang and American artist William Rock. This portrait recreates their working process and shows Huang Xiang performing some of his poems.

 

It was an interesting exercise on observing and trying to translate into images and sound the spirit behind two artists and their work. A true work of observation and representation, looking at details, looking at people’s eyes, capturing textures.
